He also offered freshly dug up potatoes if I was going to be cooking evening meals but we opted for the restaurants. Tim had picked sweet, juicy oranges for us from his garden and also gave us 6 fresh eggs from his own chickens. There were quality towels and toiletries and sufficient kitchen equipment. It was very comfortable and well presented with a refurbished bathroom and newly painted throughout. We received a very friendly welcome at the airport from our host Tim. We had a lovely time during our week on Norfolk Island. There is so much more but I have to stop somewhere!! Thank you again for such a memorable experience. We dined out at the Bowls Club, Baileys, Hilli, Homestead and Bounty and would have to say that Baileys was our favourite. 10 Quality Row were very happy and helpful. The ladies who manned the Sirius Museum and No. Kim, Max and Hayley are exceptional tour guides and their knowledge, pride and ownership of their heritage and the island is quite unique. We experienced a half day Island Introductory tour, a Convict Settlement tour and the Island Fish Fry evening with Pinetree Tours. The grounds are immaculate and the view from our private balcony left us speechless each day. The rooms were very clean with quality furnishings and comforts, the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped as was the bathroom, leaving us wanting for nothing but food and drinks. Duncan was waiting for us at the airport and without fuss we were chauffeured to our accommodation. Our stay at Endeavour Lodge was a 5star experience.
